(WNY News Now) – An Emporium, Pennsylvania woman is facing charges in Cattaraugus County after a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Allegany.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Chipmonk Road on Monday, September 29, 2025, at about 2:44 p.m. for a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, Julie D. Huesman, 56, was allegedly operating her vehicle while impaired by drugs.

Huesman was taken into custody and transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (DWAI Drugs), Failure to Maintain Lane, and Operating a Vehicle with Bald Tires.

Authorities reported that Huesman was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Allegany Town Court at a later date for arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
