(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — An 18-year-old Jamestown resident was taken into custody late Friday night following a domestic dispute on the city’s east side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to a report of a domestic dispute around 11:50 p.m. on October 3, 2025. Upon arrival, officers made contact with James T. Leonard Jr.

Following an on-scene investigation, officers determined that Leonard had allegedly restrained the victim, preventing her from leaving the residence. He was subsequently arrested without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Leonard has been charged with Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree and is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
