(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 28-year-old Olean woman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon on an active bench warrant issued by Allegany Town Court.
According to deputies, at approximately 3:33 p.m. on October 7, 2025, patrol officers observed Dorothy G. Douglas, 28, walking along South 8th Street in Olean. A routine check confirmed an active bench warrant for her arrest.
Douglas was taken into custody without incident and transported to Allegany Town Court, where she was arraigned on the warrant. Following her court appearance, she was released on her own recognizance. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
