(WNY News Now) – A Dunkirk resident was arrested Friday night after deputies stopped his vehicle for speeding and determined he was driving while intoxicated.
DUNKIRK, N.Y. – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that on October 10, 2025, around 10:49 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Central Avenue in the City of Dunkirk after observing a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed.
Deputies identified the driver as 45-year-old Gregory Negron-Garcia of Dunkirk. During the investigation, deputies determined that Negron-Garcia was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
He was taken into custody and charged with Speeding in Zone, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), and DWI Per Se.
After processing, Negron-Garcia was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Dunkirk City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
