(WNY News Now) – A Brant man faces felony sex offense charges following an investigation into alleged inappropriate communications with a juvenile in Chautauqua County.
VILLENOVA, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has charged Justin M. Stanfield, 39, of Brant, New York, following an investigation into alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to investigators, the case began on September 26, 2025, after authorities received a report of inappropriate online communications involving a juvenile victim. During the investigation, deputies determined that Stanfield had allegedly requested explicit images and videos from the minor. It was further alleged that he disseminated indecent material to the same individual.
Stanfield voluntarily turned himself in to law enforcement on October 16, 2025, for Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP) proceedings. He is charged with Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance and Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree.
He will appear in Town of Villenova Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its continued commitment to protecting children and ensuring that individuals who attempt to exploit minors are held accountable.
