(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A 54-year-old Jamestown man was arrested Friday afternoon after police responded to a shoplifting complaint at a north side business.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 1st Platoon were called to the scene around 2:00 p.m. on October 10, 2025. Store employees reported witnessing the suspect, identified as Bryant D. Watts, stealing merchandise.

Officers located and took Watts into custody without incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was charged with Petit Larceny.

Watts was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
