(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk Police arrested two men following a disturbance at a local Tim Hortons after they allegedly threatened staff with a knife and refused to leave the premises.

DUNKIRK, N.Y. — The Dunkirk Police Department reported the arrest of 33-year-old Samuel Camacho III and Nicholas J. Watts, both of Dunkirk, following a menacing incident that occurred on September 13, 2025, around 9:11 p.m. at the Tim Hortons in Dunkirk.

According to police, officers on the 3–11 p.m. shift responded to a report of two men who had allegedly pulled a knife on restaurant staff. Upon arrival, patrol officers found the two suspects inside the restaurant, yelling at employees and refusing to leave despite multiple requests. Officers ultimately had to remove both individuals from the establishment.

An investigation determined that the incident began in the parking lot when staff asked the men to leave. Police said Camacho and Watts refused, leading to a verbal argument during which Camacho allegedly brandished a knife in a threatening manner. Staff members, including a juvenile employee who was reportedly the target of the threat, retreated inside the restaurant, where the suspects continued the confrontation.

Following the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for both Camacho and Watts. They were located and taken into custody a short time later.

Camacho and Watts were each charged with:

  • Menacing in the Second Degree (PL 120.15)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child (PL 260.10)
  • Obstruction of Governmental Administration (PL 195.05)

Both suspects were arraigned before Hon. John Kuzdale in Dunkirk City Court and were arrested on the warrants. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
