(WNY News Now) – CHARLOTTE, N.Y. — A Panama woman was arrested on drunk driving charges following a traffic stop conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday evening.
Deputies said that around 7:10 p.m. on October 28, 2025, a vehicle was stopped on Charlotte Center Road in the Town of Charlotte for an alleged traffic violation. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Kayla E. Seagrave of Panama, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Following an investigation, Seagrave was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI Per Se, and Speed in Zone. She was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Seagrave was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Charlotte Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
