Jamestown Police officers from the department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a residence on the east side of the city at approximately 7:19 p.m. on December 23, 2025, for a report of a past-tense domestic dispute.
Following an investigation, officers determined that the incident occurred two days earlier, on December 21, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police allege that Brantley D. Churchill, 35, of Jamestown, became involved in an argument with the victim and subsequently caused damage to the victim’s property.
According to police, Churchill punched the radio display inside the victim’s vehicle, shattering the screen and causing property damage. Based on the findings of the investigation, officers took Churchill into custody at the scene.
Churchill was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment. He has been charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court.
As with all criminal cases, the charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
