(WNY News Now) – Jamestown Police responded to a trespass complaint at a condemned residence on the city’s east side Wednesday morning, resulting in one arrest.
A 37-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested and charged with criminal trespass following a police response to a reported trespassing incident at a condemned property on February 5, 2026.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 1st Platoon were dispatched to an eastside address at approximately 11:07 a.m. after receiving a complaint that someone was inside a residence that had been condemned by the City of Jamestown Department of Development.
Upon arrival, officers reported hearing movement inside the home. The individual inside initially refused to exit the building. Officers subsequently made entry into the residence and located Gabrielle J. Post, 37, hiding in the garage area of the property.
Post was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree.
Post was later arraigned in Jamestown City Court and released. The case will be handled through the City of Jamestown court system.
All charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
