Town of Ellicott Police say a 30-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested following a reported domestic dispute early Wednesday morning.
(WNY News Now) – The Town of Ellicott Police Department has charged Jaykup D. Durlin, 30, of Jamestown, in connection with a domestic incident that occurred on February 4, 2026.
According to police, officers responded to a reported domestic dispute at approximately 12:45 a.m. During the investigation, it is alleged that Durlin damaged a wall inside the residence and held the victim against the wall, restricting the victim’s freedom of movement.
Durlin was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Harassment in the Second Degree, and Unlawful Imprisonment.
Police took Durlin into custody at the scene and transported him to the Ellicott Police Department for processing. He was later taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
Durlin is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the incident. All charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
