(WNY News Now) – A 35-year-old Great Valley man was taken into custody Friday evening on an arrest warrant and later remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that Jesse C. Bartlett Jr., 35, of Great Valley, New York, was taken into custody on March 6, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m.

According to Sheriff Eric A. Butler, Bartlett Jr. was turned over to sheriff’s deputies after being arrested by the City of Olean Police Department in connection with a separate incident. Authorities said Bartlett Jr. was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued in Cattaraugus County.

Following his transfer into the custody of the Sheriff’s Office, Bartlett Jr. was arraigned in Little Valley Town Court. After arraignment, the court ordered him remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail.

No additional information about the underlying warrant was released.

Authorities note that all charges and allegations are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
