(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Two Jamestown residents were taken into custody early Tuesday after police responded to a complaint involving a reported violation of an order of protection on the city’s north side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the department’s 3rd Platoon were dispatched to a north side residence at approximately 1:59 a.m. on March 10, 2026, for a report involving an order of protection.

Following an investigation at the scene, officers determined that Danielle N. Braun, 39, of Jamestown, was present at the residence in violation of a stay-away order of protection. Braun was subsequently taken into custody.

While officers were investigating the complaint, police also determined that Vanessa R. Stevens, 35, of Jamestown, allegedly made threats toward multiple individuals inside the residence.

Both women were taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail.
