(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — An 18-year-old Jamestown resident was taken into custody Friday evening following a reported domestic incident on the city’s south side.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a residence at approximately 7:07 p.m. on March 20, 2026, for a report of a domestic dispute. Following an investigation, police allege that Angel M. Rosa pinned the victim to the ground, grabbed their neck, and repeatedly struck them during the incident.

Rosa was arrested at the scene without further incident.

He has been charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree.

Rosa was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
