(WNY News Now) – MAYVILLE, N.Y. — A Jamestown resident is facing charges after deputies responded to a reported trespassing incident in the Town of Chautauqua on Saturday morning.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 8:30 a.m. on March 28, 2026, to the area of Prospect Road and Plank Road in Mayville for a report of a person attempting to enter a residence.
Upon arrival, deputies located Crystal R. Borst, 36, of Jamestown, on the property. Following an investigation, authorities determined that Borst was unlawfully on the premises.
Borst was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. She was issued appearance tickets and released.
She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
