(WNY News Now) – HINSDALE, N.Y. — A Hinsdale woman has been charged with trespass after authorities say she entered a retail store despite a prior ban.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a complaint at a Walmart location on Main Street in Hinsdale at approximately 8:40 a.m. on April 9.

Following an investigation, deputies determined that Lisa S. Brown, 63, had allegedly entered the store after previously being banned from the property in 2025.

Brown was charged with one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree under New York State Penal Law. Authorities issued her an appearance ticket, and she was released.

She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
