(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after police responded to a trespassing complaint at a condemned property on the city’s west side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 1st Platoon were dispatched around 2:00 p.m. on April 8, 2026, to a building on West 2nd Street near Jefferson Street for a report of a person inside the structure.
Upon arrival, officers located 44-year-old Hector O. Dejesus inside the condemned building. Police said he was taken into custody without incident.
Dejesus was charged with Criminal Trespass in the third degree. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
