(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was taken into custody Thursday morning following a reported domestic incident on the city’s south side, according to police.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to a residence around 11:15 a.m. on April 9, 2026, after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female victim and conducted an investigation into the incident.

Police allege that Roberto E. Figueroa-Arroyo, 44, shoved the victim multiple times during a verbal dispute. Authorities also reported that there was a valid Order of Protection in place, issued in the City of Jamestown, directing Figueroa-Arroyo to refrain from offensive contact with the victim.

Following the investigation, Figueroa-Arroyo was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He has been charged with Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the First Degree. Officials said he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
