(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man is facing charges after police responded to a reported fight Monday afternoon on the city’s east side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the Second Platoon were dispatched around 4:00 p.m. on April 13, 2026, to the area of East 6th Street and Winsor Street for a report of a physical altercation.
Following an investigation, police allege that Charles Dean, 27, of Jamestown, forcibly removed another individual from a vehicle before striking the victim multiple times in the face with a closed fist.
Officers located Dean nearby and took him into custody without incident.
Dean was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. He has been charged with Assault in the Third Degree. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
