(WNY News Now) – A 23-year-old Jamestown man was arrested early Monday following a domestic violence investigation on the city’s west side, according to police.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A domestic violence investigation led to the arrest of a 23-year-old city resident early Sunday morning after officers responded to a west side address just after midnight.
According to Jamestown police, officers from the third platoon were dispatched at approximately 12:05 a.m. on April 20, 2026, for a reported domestic incident. Upon arrival, investigators determined that Xavier L. Perry, 23, of Jamestown, allegedly threatened a female victim during a dispute inside the residence.
Police reported that during the incident, Perry allegedly possessed a kitchen knife and used it to intimidate the victim. Authorities stated he allegedly lunged toward the victim while holding the knife, causing her to fear she would be physically harmed.
No additional injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Following the investigation at the scene, officers took Perry into custody without further incident. He was charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor offense under New York State law.
Perry was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
