(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man is facing multiple charges following a reported domestic dispute on the city’s east side late Thursday night.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 2nd Platoon responded to an east side residence at approximately 10:00 p.m. on April 30 for a report of an in-progress physical domestic incident.

Following an investigation, police allege that 37-year-old Andre T. Taylor grabbed the victim by the neck and pushed the individual to the ground during the altercation. Authorities said the incident occurred in the presence of a child.

Taylor was taken into custody without incident at the scene. He has been charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Police report that Taylor is being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
