(WNY News Now) – A North East, Pennsylvania woman was arrested on multiple charges, including DWI, following a late-night traffic stop in the Village of Sherman on May 16, 2026.

SHERMAN, N.Y. — Deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested a driver following a traffic stop in the Village of Sherman, New York after midnight on May 16, 2026.

According to authorities, deputies initiated the stop at approximately 12:16 a.m. after observing a traffic violation involving a vehicle operated by 40-year-old Tiara R. Gibble of North East, Pennsylvania.

During the investigation, deputies determined that Gibble was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was subsequently taken into custody.

Officials reported that Gibble was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI Per Se, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, operating without insurance, and a violation related to no plate lamps.

Gibble was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was later released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in court at a later date.

No injuries or additional incidents were reported in connection with the traffic stop.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
