The Town of Ellicott Police Department reported that Brandon C. Taylor, 44, of Falconer, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (DWAI-Drugs) with a previous conviction, a felony offense, along with several vehicle and traffic violations.

According to police, officers conducted a traffic stop on June 10, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m. after observing alleged traffic violations. During the investigation, officers determined that Taylor was allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence of a drug.

Police said Taylor has a prior DWI-related conviction within the past 10 years, resulting in the felony-level charge.

Taylor was issued traffic tickets and released pending further court proceedings. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
