(WNY News Now) – A 34-year-old Kennedy woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after deputies said she allegedly displayed a knife, causing another person to fear physical injury.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred at approximately 2:31 p.m. on July 5, 2026, in the village of Kennedy.

According to investigators, Ashley N. Harrison, 34, of Kennedy, allegedly displayed a knife during an encounter with another individual, placing the person in fear of physical injury.

Harrison was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Menacing, a criminal offense under New York law involving the alleged display of a dangerous instrument to intentionally place another person in fear of physical injury.

Following her arrest, Harrison was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, where she was held pending centralized arraignment.

The charge is an allegation, and Harrison is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
