(WNY News Now) – A 19-year-old Jamestown resident has been charged with felony assault after police say a person was stabbed during an argument at a Northside residence Tuesday afternoon.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Jamestown police arrested Evein E. Fuller, 19, of Jamestown, following a reported stabbing at a Northside address on July 21, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m.

According to police, First Platoon officers responded to the residence after receiving a report of a stabbing. Officers quickly located Fuller and took him into custody without incident.

Investigators allege the stabbing occurred during an argument over a cellphone. Police charged Fuller with second-degree assault, a felony under New York law.

The victim was transported to UPMC Chautauqua, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Fuller was taken to the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
