(WNY News Now) – A 64-year-old South Carolina man died after a bicycle crash involving a parked vehicle in the Village of Brocton, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

BROCTON, N.Y. — A 64-year-old man from Greenville, South Carolina, died following a bicycle crash on Harmon Avenue in the Village of Brocton on July 22, 2026.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, the Brocton Fire Department, and Chautauqua County Emergency Services responded to the scene at approximately 2:59 p.m. after receiving a report of a motor vehicle versus bicyclist accident.

The investigation determined that Michael H. McKay was riding his bicycle westbound on Harmon Avenue when he collided with a parked motor vehicle.

McKay suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased as a result of those injuries.
