(WNY News Now) – A 41-year-old Jamestown man was arrested Friday after police reported finding him inside a condemned property on the city’s Southside.

Jamestown Police officers from the 1st Platoon responded to a condemned address on the Southside at about 11:13 a.m. Aug. 7 following a report of a man inside the property.

According to police, officers made contact with a man at the door who identified himself as Steven C. Morris Jr., 41, of Jamestown.

Morris was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Police charged Morris with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. He was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charge is an allegation, and Morris is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
