(WNY News Now) – A 49-year-old Virginia woman was arrested on a DWI charge early Sunday after deputies reported observing multiple traffic violations on Route 219 in the Town of Carrollton.
Jessica A. Doty, 49, of Petersburg, Virginia, was arrested by deputies with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office at about 1:32 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany territory initially stopped Doty in the Town of Carrollton after observing multiple traffic violations.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested Doty on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
She was charged under New York Vehicle and Traffic Law sections 1192(3), 1128(A), 1120(A) and 1160(A).
Doty was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was later released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Carrollton Town Court at a later date.
The charges are allegations, and Doty is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
