(WNY News Now) – A 47-year-old Delevan woman was charged with drug possession and other offenses following a traffic stop in the Town of Machias on September 5.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said deputies stopped Alesha M. Hill, 47, of Delevan, at about 11:07 a.m. on Gulf Hill Road after observing multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
During the subsequent investigation and search of the vehicle, deputies reported finding suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, drug packaging material and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Hill was taken to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was released on an appearance ticket and issued several uniform traffic tickets.
Hill was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, Operating an Uninspected Motor Vehicle and Unsafe Backing.
She is scheduled to appear in Town of Machias Court at a later date for further proceedings.
The charges are allegations, and Hill is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
