(WNY News Now) – A 42-year-old Cattaraugus County man was arrested Sunday night following a reported violent domestic incident in the town of Randolph, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 9 p.m. Sept. 6 to a residence on Corbett Hill Road for a reported physical domestic incident involving James R. Olson, 42, of Cattaraugus.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Olson was taken into custody following the investigation.

Olson was charged with two counts of aggravated family offense, along with criminal mischief in the third and fourth degrees, assault in the third degree, criminal contempt in the first degree and harassment in the second degree.

The Sheriff’s Office said Olson was arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail for a felony hearing and further court proceedings.

The charges are allegations, and Olson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
