(WNY News Now) – A 56-year-old Jamestown man was arrested Thursday after police said he allegedly threatened a woman and yelled at juveniles during an incident at a west-side business.

Jamestown police officers assigned to the First Platoon responded to a west-side business around 7:45 a.m. Sept. 10 for a reported harassment complaint.

According to police, a woman told officers that an unknown man approached her vehicle and began yelling threats at her while her 11-year-old son was inside.

Police said the man then entered the business and yelled at two female juveniles who were related to the woman.

After reviewing photographs of the suspect, officers identified him as Christopher Frederick, 56, of Jamestown.

Officers later went to Frederick’s residence to take him into custody. Police said a brief struggle occurred during the arrest.

Frederick was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where police said he was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

He faces charges of Harassment in the Second Degree, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Resisting Arrest.

The allegations have not been adjudicated in court. Frederick is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
