(WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old Jamestown man was arrested after police said he violated a stay-away order of protection at a Jamestown public school.

Jamestown police responded to a Jamestown Public School at approximately 8:16 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, for a reported order of protection violation.

Police said officers learned that Dakota J. Raymond, 29, of Jamestown, was at the school in violation of a stay-away order involving a juvenile who was present at the school.

Officers located Raymond at the school and took him into custody without incident, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Police also determined that Raymond had an active arrest warrant related to an alleged violation of the same order of protection involving the same juvenile and school on September 4.

Raymond was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

He was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
