(WNY News Now) – A Falconer man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Village of Franklinville, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

FRANKLINVILLE, N.Y. — Richard D. Zorn, 31, of Falconer, was taken into custody Saturday evening following an investigation by deputies with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Franklinville at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 12 after receiving a report of a vehicle driving through a yard and observing multiple alleged vehicle and traffic law infractions.

Following an investigation, deputies alleged that Zorn had been driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing and a chemical test.

Zorn was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a reported blood alcohol content of 0.18% or higher. He was also issued multiple uniform traffic tickets.

Zorn was processed and released on appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Franklinville Town Court at a later date.

All charges are accusations, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
