(WNY News Now) – A 19-year-old Yorkshire man was arrested Friday in connection with a criminal trespass complaint reported earlier this month.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph D. Knight, 19, of Yorkshire, was arrested at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in Delevan.

Deputies said the arrest stemmed from an incident reported Sept. 6 in the Town of Yorkshire.

Knight was charged with second-degree criminal trespass.

Following his arrest, Knight was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear at a later date in Yorkshire Town Court.

The Sheriff’s Office did not provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged trespass.

An arrest is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
