(WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old Olean woman was taken into custody Sunday after authorities say she was found with suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine during a warrant-related arrest.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies took Cara L. Skye, 38, of Olean, into custody at about 10:38 p.m. Sept. 27 near West State Street and North 12th Street in the City of Olean.

Deputies said Skye was observed riding a bicycle in the area when they discovered she had active warrants from Olean City Court and New York State Parole.

Authorities also reported finding suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine, along with two scales containing suspected drug residue, packaging baggies, approximately 30 grams of dilutants and $1,435 in U.S. currency.

Skye was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was charged with:

• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree — Intent to Sell
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree — two counts
• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree — Dilutants
• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree — Packaging
• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree — Scales, two counts

The sheriff’s office said Skye was issued an appearance ticket for Olean City Court and is scheduled to appear at a later date.

She was then turned over to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where authorities said she would remain pending further Olean City Court and New York State Parole proceedings.

The charges are allegations, and Skye is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
