(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTT, N.Y. — A 42-year-old Jamestown man is facing two petit larceny charges following separate shoplifting complaints investigated by Town of Ellicott police in September.

According to the Ellicott Police Department, Dwayne A. Thompson was charged in connection with two incidents reported on September 6 and September 9, 2026.

Police allege Thompson removed merchandise from a store without paying during the separate incidents.

Thompson was charged with two counts of petit larceny under New York State Penal Law 155.25. An appearance ticket was issued, directing him to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

The charges remain allegations, and Thompson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
