JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man allegedly received $1,504 in unentitled benefits between January and August 2017, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Marvin Colon-Dones, 25, allegedly failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services that he was employed and earning income during this time period.

Colon-Dones is charged with fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, misuse of food stamps and fourth-degree grand larceny.

Colon-Dones is scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown at a later date.
