JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown woman, who was allegedly driving in a “highly intoxicated” state, struck another person’s vehicle Tuesday evening in the area of 204 Allen St., according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Police said that Tinesha L. Smith, 44, was allegedly driving a Chevy sedan that was reported stolen in the City’s Westside when the sedan struck a parked vehicle, causing the parked vehicle to leave the roadway.

Smith allegedly fled the scene of the accident, but was located at a nearby Allen Street residence. She was taken to Jamestown City Jail to await arraignment.

The Jamestown woman is charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, aggravated DWI-BAC .18 or higher, driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property accident and moving from lane unsafely.

Both vehicles reportedly sustained heavy damage in the incident.
