CLYMER – The American Cancer Society has teamed up with Peek’n Peak Resort to host a unique fundraiser to help raise money to fight cancer.
Hope on the Slopes will feature a variety of winter sports competitions, silent auctions and a chicken wing cookoff on Sat., Mar. 2.
“We are excited to host this inaugural event, the first ever of its kind in our region,” said Michelle Ducharme, Senior Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society. “Thanks to the incredible support of Peek’n Peak Resort and all of our volunteers, we are able to make a profound impact in the fight against cancer. We look forward to this being the first of many years to come!”
Registration is $30 and begins at 8:00 a.m., with the event running from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Event pre-registration can be completed at: www.main.acsevents.org/HOTSatPK2.
Ducharme said if teams raise more than $50 or more (including $30 registration fee), participants will earn a free 2-hour tubing pass to be used through the end of the 2018-19 ski season.
Teams who raise $100 or more will receive a free lift ticket.
Money raised will help the Society attack cancer from every angle.
