MACHIAS – A City of Buffalo woman faces felony charges after the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and Franklinville Village Police Department found 11 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of more than $1,000 during a traffic stop on Route 16 Thursday around 12 a.m.

The Southern Tier Drug Task Force said Heidi A. Jankowiak, 34, was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Jankowiak was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after investigators additionally discovered three methylphenidate hydrochloride pills.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said Jankowiak was arraigned in the Town of Freedom Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail.
