WNYNewsNow Partners With Local Storm Chaser To Enhance Weather Coverage

JAMESTOWN – WNYNewsNow is proud to announce we have partnered with ‘Chautauqua Weather Today’ to enhance our live streamed “wall-to-wall” severe weather coverage.

Shawn Sweatman, the founder and lead storm chaser for Chautauqua Weather Today, has made his ‘claim to fame’ by live streaming video from his custom storm chaser vehicle; showing weather conditions from all around the Southern Tier.

Sweatman is a trained National Weather Service SKYWARN storm spotter and has been recognized by the Buffalo NWS office for relaying reports to them during severe weather events.

Now with our exclusive partnership, Sweatman will provide live streaming video from the field as severe weather strikes.

The storm chaser’s stream will be simulcasted, part of our First Defense Weather Special Storm Coverage, both on Facebook Live and our 24/7 streaming network.
