ASHVILLE – A Chautauqua County family featured on a nationally renowned military home renovation show was welcomed home Thursday afternoon.

Lifetime’s Military Makeover with Montel Williams wrapped up production welcoming Cody Willett and his family home following a full-scale remodel of the Willett’s property.

“Its over the top,” said Willett. “We were thinking some paint, new floors and appliances, but they went above and beyond.”

The Willett family said they are thankful to live in such a great community that supports one another.

“I did not know it was possible to get this much support,” said Willett. “It is an amazing thing.”

The Willett family was displaced for around 12 days as crews renovated their home.

Willett, a local Air Force Veteran was severely injured in a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) attack during a mission in Kandahār, Afghanistan. In addition, Willett is overcoming another obstacle after he slipped and fell on the ice earlier this winter.

The vet won the remodel after applying online for Lifetime’s Military Makeover show.
