JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown man is facing charges after he allegedly fought with police while they were responding to a call for help at a Cook Avenue house Monday morning.

Jamestown Police Officers said they responded to the house after a woman called 911 screaming for help. The woman told police that Richard C. Neal, 34, came to her home and violated an order of protection.

Neal, who police said was across the street, was taken into custody. Police said Neal then fought with them and, after a brief struggle, was taken to city jail.

Neal is charged with first degree felony criminal contempt, felony aggravated family offense and resisting arrest.
