Jamestown Man Charged With Rape, Sex Abuse

NOTE: The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has the incident location listed as the Towns of Sheridan and Ellery.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY – A Jamestown man was arrested following a month-long investigation into a report of a suspicious situation, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Lafrance, 33, of Forest Avenue Extension, Jamestown, is charged with two counts of second-degree rape, three counts of second-degree criminal sexual act and first-degree sexual abuse.











Lafrance is being held without bail in Chautauqua County Jail.

The New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
