JAMESTOWN – Quick work by Jamestown Police ended an apparent attempted burglary at 8:04 a.m. Monday.

Officers were called to an alleged burglary in progress at 151 Park Street.

Police said when they arrived they found Kentrell J. Stewart, 35, of Dunkirk inside the home. Police said he gained entry through a side door.

Stewart was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was remanded to the Jamestown Jail pending arraignment.
