Four Charged In Active Meth Lab Investigation

OLEAN – Four people were arrested Saturday evening after they were allegedly in the process of making methamphetamine with four children inside 112 S. 8th St., according to the Olean Police Department. 

Investigators said they obtained a search warrant, and were assisted by the emergency response team. Police said that the next door apartment was evacuated until it was deemed safe.

New York State Police assisted in evidence collection and disposal of the waste made by the meth-making process.


The children were reportedly turned over to a responsible relative.

Dustin A. Haynes, 26, J.B. Spates III, 41, Dylin J. Light, 24, and Thomas H. Ratliff, 42, were arrested.

Bath, were charged with second and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.



All four were arraigned in Olean City Court and held without bail.
