WASHINGTON – The government is finally ready to get into the pot business.

The Drug Enforcement Administration says it is expanding scientific and medical research into Marijuana.

The agency first announced it would license pot growers two years ago, but under then Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the Justice Department stopped the process.

Attorney General Bill Barr says he’s pleased the d-e-a is seeking to expand growing marijuana legally to support research.
