CHAUTAUQUA – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies placed multiple charges against a Westfield man following a traffic stop in the Town of Chautauqua at 10:21 a.m., Thursday.

William J. Petsch Jr., 34, was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of hypodermics and third-degree unlicensed operation.

Deputies stopped Petsch Jr., on Rt 394 in the Town of Chautauqua for alleged multiple violations. Petsch’s driver’s license was found to be suspended nine times, deputies said.

With assistance from Sheriff’s K9, Petsch Jr. was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and hypodermic needles.

In addition, he was charged with uninspected motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while on a cellular phone. He was brought to centralized arraignment awaiting court.
