CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY – Democratic candidates from around the region will be sweeping through Chautauqua County to boost their support in the upcoming election.
According to a post on Tracy Mitrano’s campaign site, several candidates will visit the county Saturday, October 19. Mitrano is running against Republican Incumbent Congressman Tom Reed, after being defeated by him in the last election.
Candidates joining the campaign sweep include Eddie Sundquist for Jamestown Mayor, Willie Rosas for Dunkirk Mayor, Athanasia Landis for Fredonia Mayor and Austin Morgan for NY State Senate, plus all Democrats running for local offices.
The Mitrano Campaign is hiring a bus to leave early from Ithaca, with a stop in Corning, to spend the day canvassing in Jamestown, Dunkirk and Fredonia. The day will wrap up with a dinner provided for all local and non-local volunteers, before the bus heads back east.
Details are still being worked out, including exact timing, but interested parties are asked to RSVP now, via Facebook.
