WESTFIELD – A Westfield man was arrested after allegedly holding a person against their will and dragging them throughout his Finley Road residence Friday morning.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says David Zapata, 30, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment.

It is alleged that Zapata grabbed and dragged another person throughout his residence.

Furthermore, during the altercation he allegedly did not allow that person to leave the house.

Deputies said Zapata also removed a .22 caliber rifle from the residence and continued to a wooded area behind the house.

Sheriff K9 Drake was deployed into the wooded area and was able to locate the long gun.

Deputies said Zapata was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
